Hi, everyone! My name is Francine Porcellana, and I am a model for Puellae Plasticae.
I grew up in a small suburban town before moving to the big city once Puellae Plasticae hired me. Since then, I've been living in a nice apartment with my dog, Freckle. My sister used to live in the same complex as me. I miss her everyday.
I enjoy cooking, taking Freckle for walks, and talking with friends. My favorite food is ramen, my favorite color is pastel mint, and my favorite season is winter! Winter was her favorite, too. We used to have so much fun.
I joined Puellae Plasticae to share my story. I grew up with a single mom in a small suburban house. There was barely enough space for us two and Freckle (even though she was a puppy), but it was all my mom could afford.
Growing up, I always loved fashion. I was so fascinated by the things people would wear on TV. I'd make sketches based on some of my favorite outfits I saw people wear (not that I could ever afford a sewing machine to make those sketches come to life, haha!). Even the simplest of designs would interest me, like a cute crop top or denim skirt.
I couldn't afford to go to college, so I ended up working as a barista as a local café while still living with my mom. This was around the time Puellae Plasticae was just starting. There was news that they were hosting a modeling competition in the city, which was about two and a half hours away from where my mom and I lived. I loved wearing cute clothes as much as I loved sketching designs for them, so my mom took me to the competition. She came with us, too. I should've stopped her.
By some miracle, I was one of the few winners. They offered me a job as a model. I wanted to say yes, but I would've had to move into the city, which I definitely couldn't afford. Thankfully, Puellae Plasticae understood the problem once I explained, and offered me a massive signing bonus. It was enough to buy an apartment in the city and have enough to send the leftover money to my mom. If someone is reading this before they delete this, I need you to know the truth.
